Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Attends ISO Annual Meeting in Kigali
Farzaneh Ansari Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and President of the Iran National Standards Organization attended the 2025 ISO Annual Meeting in Kigali.
Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and President of the Iran National Standards Organization Farzaneh Ansari attended the 2025 ISO Annual Meeting in Kigali, which was officially opened on October 6 by Prime Minister Justin Nsengiyumva to focus on standards for sustainable growth. On the sidelines of the meeting, Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and President of the Iran National Standards Organization and her delegation met with Rwanda’s Minister of Trade and Industry Prudence Sebahizi, stressing the need to expand cooperation by harmonizing standards to facilitate trade and collaborate on conformity assessment and laboratory accreditation. Farzaneh Ansari also proposed joint training programs for women entrepreneurs focusing on quality, digital transformation, and new standards, a move welcomed by Minister Sebahizi, who expressed Rwanda’s keen interest in leveraging Iran's century-long experience in standardization to further its own national strategy of using standards as an engine for a dynamic, competitive, and world-open economy.
