Presentation of the Letters of Credence by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the President of Burundi

H.E. Majid Saffar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Burundi, presented his Letters of Credence on Thursday, 20 November 2025, at the Ntare Rushatsi Palace in Bujumbura to the President of the Republic of Burundi, H.E. General-Major Évariste Ndayishimiye. The President congratulated the new Ambassador and highlighted the positive and friendly relations between the two countries.

The meeting underscored the commitment to strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas such as agriculture, energy, mining, education, and trade. Ambassador Majid Saffar reaffirmed Iran’s readiness to expand practical partnerships and further develop mutually beneficial cooperation.
